What is happening this week
We have been very busy in the greenhouses this week. Our basil plants are growing very well, we are planting more vegetables for your garden needs, and we are seeding more vegetables for our fields. Our first field lettuce has been transplanted into our field and we are getting ready to start hoeing our first seeded fields of carrots, cilantro, dill, peas, radishes, and spinach. Our chives are at the stage of starting to bud. We soon will be mowing them to keep young leaves regrowing. Bonnie is keeping busy by planting our potted herb gardens and selling at our greenhouse plant sale. Stop by and visit Bonnie for your garden needs.
Please stop by and visit us for our family farm’s plant sale! We are open Wednesday through Sunday until June 14th. Weekdays from 2-6 pm. Weekends from 10am-4pm. We hope to see you soon!
We have started our Email Order Program for the 2015 season! In addition to our fresh cut herbs and Baby Lettuce blend, we are offering our lovely herb and vegetables pants. We are very excited about all the fresh produce we are growing for you! A few of our spring vegetables are up in the field, such as our sugar snap peas, spinach and radishes. Watch for them in the next couple of weeks!
Email Order Details
Look for the Email Order tab at the top of this blog page. We are offering a weekly availability of our fresh herbs and vegetables. We will post this availability on Tuesday or Wednesday. We need your order emailed to us by Monday at noon and you can pick up at our farm on the next Wednesday at our farm in Andover MN. We want you to be able to order what you want! We are very excited to have a great selection of vegetables planned for this upcoming growing season.
We have a greenhouse growing our beautiful Bridal Veil hanging baskets. Our greenhouse is able to open at the end to help cool it down faster when it is warm outside. We have a small family of Barn Swallows nesting in one of our Bridal Veil baskets. They love the soft bedding the plant offers in a warm cozy greenhouse. We are leaving that basket for the birds.
